Lets Work Together!

I provide personalized care plans to support your individual feeding goals and overcome any breastfeeding challenges, educate on newborn care, or prepare you for your for baby’s arrival.

When you book a consult, you can decide if you would like me to come to your home or if you would prefer to meet virtually via Telehealth (for local, in-home is suggested). If you are reaching out for a prenatal or lactation related consult, I suggest first checking your insurance coverage.

I use the Lactation Network and Wildflower Health online to verify coverage for families looking to use their insurance. The link to check your insurance is provided below. Those who have Cigna should follow the link to verify coverage through Wildflower and others who do not have Medicaid or Tricare should select The Lactation Network. When you go to The Lactation Network (TLN) or Wildflower, you will fill out your insurance information and they will get back with you to tell you if you are covered or not. They are very responsive and will normally respond in 12-48 hours. TLN and Wildflower will reach out to let me know you would like to be seen but you are also welcome to email me at emily@mylowcountrybaby.com to let me know you have submitted for coverage. Plans normally accepted are BCBS PPO, Anthem PPO, UHC PPO and HMO, Aetna Multi-plan. If you are not sure, go ahead and check via TLN or Wildflower (Cigna only).

Some insurance companies such as Tricare and Medicaid may not be accepted via TLN or Wildflower and must be booked as self-pay. You may go ahead and book via self-pay and I can provide a super-bill which you can submit for reimbursement from your insurance carrier. I still suggest calling your insurance provider to determine if you need pre-approval or referral in order to qualify for reimbursement. I offer a 10% discount to military families to thank you for your service!

You can find out more about your rights for lactation coverage as laid out by the affordable care act here! This may be helpful to reference when seeking reimbursement from insurance.
